Itinerary

It’s day one, and your journey begins from the embarkation port of Civitavecchia (Rome) in Italy. Guests will be permitted to board the Emerald Cruise Star-ship, but before they’ve to do the necessary paperwork and complete their boarding.

The guests will be reaching Civitavecchia from various locations and they’ll be welcomed by the captain and crew members. The evening will be on the deck of the cruise and guests will enjoy the welcome dinner on this day while knowing the ship. Guests can spend their day exploring Rome’s iconic attractions such the Colosseum and Vatican City’s St. Peter’s Basilica before they board the cruise ship.

Early in the morning of day two, the Emerald Cruise’s Star-ship will reach Porto Ercole, located Italy’s Tuscany region. It’s a laid-back harbour town and famous for its maze of narrow laneways, stone houses, and plenty of old fortresses.

Emerald Cruises have organised an excursion to the town of Port Ercole where guests can admire unique blend of history and charm created by Caravaggio, the renowned artist. Forte Filippo, Forte Stella, and La Rocca are the top-attractions of Port Ercole and shouldn’t be missed. The cruise will leave for next destination at 17:00 PM.

It’s day three of the Malta, Sicily & Amalfi Coast cruise organised by Emerald Cruises and we reach the historic coastal town of Gaeta in Italy. Overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, Gaeta is renowned for its beautiful & clean beaches and clear turquoise waters.

Guests onboard can take up a paid excursion to Sperlonga national archaeological museum with Tiberio Villa organised by Emerald Cruises. They’ll love the scenic journey and appreciate the spellbinding white houses with azure backdrop. The National Archaeological Museum features the ancient sculptures and Emperor Tiberius' residence at Sperlonga.

It’s day four of the cruise, and we will reach Sorrento located along the Amalfi Coast. It’s popular for being the much-loved resort and having amazing views of the Bay of Naples & Mount Vesuvius across the water.

Guests can take up the paid tour to small town of Pompeii and enjoy the scenic drive having glimpses of Mount Vesuvius all along. The cruise will head towards the island of Capri at 18:00 PM and reach at 19:30 PM for an overnight stay.

Capri is one of the legendary island located in Italy’s Bay of Naples and is very popular for the Blue Grotto excursion. Guests can also enjoy the Faraglioni Rock Formations and visit the Gardens of Augustus before departing from Capri at 18:00 PM.

In the evening at 21:00 PM, the Emerald Cruise’s Star-ship will reach Amalfi and guests will be entertained by a local performance onboard. A magnificent cathedral located in centre of Amalfi, the Duomo di Sant'Andrea, is a prominent landmark.

It’s day six of the cruise, and this day is completely dedicated to the majestic island of Amalfi where you can explore the town and visit the breathtaking gardens at Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone. Guests will love the small town Positano, located near Amafi and having colourful houses cascading down the cliff-side.

Travellers onboard can take-up the paid excursion to the town of Ravello, and enjoying the coastal charm on a comfortable mini-bus. Appreciate the Villa Rufolo & iconic tower and the Moorish-inspired architecture before departing island at 17:00 PM.

Early in the morning of day seven at 9:30 AM, the Emerald Cruise’s Star-ship will reach the largest of the Aeolian Islands, Lipari. This island is famed for the enthralling volcanic landscapes having black sand beaches and pumice quarries.

Emerald Cruises have organised a paid excursion to the Vulcano Island tour by boat and guests can experience the island’s natural wonders very closely. Vulcano and Stromboli are good attractions whereby travellers can witness volcanic activity. The cruise will leave the island of Lipari at 21:00 PM.

It’s day eight, and we reach the port town of Giardini Naxos, located on the eastern coast of Sicily, Italy. It’s one of the most popular town offering captivating views of Ionian Sea and Mount Etna – the fabled active volcano.

Giardini Naxos has beautiful sandy beaches and a vibrant waterfront filled with popular restaurants & cafes. Guests onboard can ask for a guided tour of Taormina and they can explore the outside of Cathedral & appreciate the ancient ruins of Greek Theatre with mighty Mount Etna in the backdrop. The cruise will leave Giardini Naxo at 18:00 PM.

On day nine of the Malta, Sicily & Amalfi Coast cruise organised by Emerald Cruises, we reach Valletta, capital city of Malta for a two-night stay. It’s the final stop in the cruise journey that started from Civitavecchia (Rome) in Italy.

Emerald Cruises have organised a guided tour of Mdina and Valletta wherein the guests will take a scenic drive to Mdina, the ancient capital of Malta and its perched on a hilltop. St. Paul’s Cathedral and Palazzo Falson are good attractions here along with local crafts & charming cafes located nearby.

Your amazing Malta, Sicily & Amalfi Coast Cruise, on the final tenth day concludes as your cruise ship has reached its final port of Valletta in Malta. Deboard from Emerald Cruise’s Star-ship with a great accumulation of cherished memories from cities like Civitavecchia, Gaeta, Capri, Amalfi, Lipari, and Valletta.
