Overview

Founded as Windstar Sail Cruises in the year 1984, it launched its first ship Wind Star followed by Wind Song in 1987. Xanterra Travel Collection won the Windstar Cruises with $39 million bid when Ambassadors International filed for bankruptcy in 2011. Having a fleet of six strong yachts, Windstar Cruises has been sailing to numerous nations throughout Europe, the South Pacific, the Caribbean, and Central America.

All the Windstar cruise ships offer a spacious ocean-view accommodations for guests with a walk-in closet & updated double-vanity wash-room. Guests can make use of the fully equipped fitness center, a spa with complimentary sauna, and an infinity pool for their regular workouts. The Windstar cruise ships are popular for offering engaging experiences onboard with often customised, port-intensive itineraries and exceptional award-winning onboard service.

Dining

Windstar Cruises will make you feel as if you’re sailing on your own private yacht and recreate a classic resort environment onboard. Dining in any of Windstar restaurants is a celebration of that very same individual spirit. No formal reservation are needed and restaurants serve an innovative menu of gourmet specialities.

Windstar does not have pre-assigned tables or seating arrangement. Guests can choose their own time and the persons they wish to dine with. Seating generally begins at 7:30 pm and printed program is provided to guests everyday.

Windstar recommends casual attire for all the guests sailing on the ship. Men when onboard should wear slacks, polo shirts, button down shirts, and matching dress shoes. Women when onboard should wear slacks, skirts, casual dresses, sundresses.

All non-alcoholic beverages including bottled water, fresh juices, milk, fruit smoothies, tea, coffee, cappuccinos, lattes, mochas and espresso are served complimentary to all the guests.

If you’ve need for low-calorie, low-fat, low-carbohydrate, low-sugar, vegetarian, low sodium, low/no cholesterol, gluten free and Indian vegetarian food; make sure you make it no later than 2 weeks prior to sailing.
Smoking Policy

Smoking is not allowed in all interior areas of Windstar Sailing ships. It is only permitted in designated areas on outside decks.
