Itinerary

It’s the day one of Africa Cruise: Cape Town, Durban, & Port Louis from Azamara and guest get onboard the Azamara Journey from port of Cape Town on day two before it sets to sail at 10 pm. In first two days of the Africa Cruise, the guests get an overnight stay in hotel and can engage themselves in popular excursions like Greater Kruger National Park Safari & Victoria Falls & Chobe Game Park Safari.

The guests on day three will be sailing at sea and can indulge in getting a spa treatment onboard or take up a fitness class at luxurious fitness centre. Interact with the fellow guests on the deck and enjoy exciting evening entertainment at the Lounge.

On day four of the Africa Cruise, the Azamara Journey reaches Mossel Bay, located on South Africa’s Garden Route. Guests onboard the cruise can visit top attractions like Botlierskop Safari, Point of Origin Tour, or Mossel Bay Historic Highlights. The cruise arrives at Mossel Bay at 8 am and departs at 5 pm.

Port Elizabeth, lovingly referred as ‘friendly city’, has recently renamed as Gqeberha after Baakens River that flows through the city. Guests can engage themselves in top sightseeing such as Penguin Island Cruise, Giraffe Walking & Cape Bufffalo Drive, or Kariega Private Game Reserve. The cruise arrives at Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) at 7.30 am and departs at 6 pm.

The guests on day six will be sailing at sea and can indulge in getting a spa treatment onboard or take up a fitness class at luxurious fitness centre. Interact with the fellow guests on the deck and enjoy exciting evening entertainment at the Lounge.

It’s day seven of the Africa Cruise, and the cruise vessel reaches the quaint town of Richards Bay. It’s a region famous for fabulous scenery and exotic wildlife, the guests can go for St. Lucia Boat Cruise, Thula Thula Private Game Reserve Safari, or Dumazulu Cultural Village. The cruise arrives at Richards Bay at 7 am and departs at 8 pm.

On day eight, we reach the city of Durban, known as the ‘Asian Capital of South Africa’. Guests will have an overnight stay in the city where Zulu, Indian, and European cultures blend together. They can take part in top sightseeing like Phezulu Park, Victoria Street Market & Botanical Gardens, or Nelson Mandela Capture Site. The cruise arrives at Durban at 8 am on day eight and departs at 2 pm on day nine.

It’s day twelve, the Africa Cruise reaches the port of Taolagnaro in Madagascar, a coastal town nestled in between ocean and lush mountains. Guests will get amazed by its stunning beaches & diverse ecosystems; they can take part in popular outings such as Nahampoana Reserve, Mantaly Waterfalls, or Around Fort Dahupin By Tuk Tuk. The cruise arrives at Taolagnaro at 8 am and departs at 6 pm.

The guests on day thirteen will be sailing at sea and can indulge in getting a spa treatment onboard or take up a fitness class at luxurious fitness centre. Interact with the fellow guests on the deck and enjoy exciting evening entertainment at the Lounge.

Pointe Des Galets, a picturesque island in the Indian Ocean, offers the guests of Africa Cruise a gateway to island’s landscapes including lush forests, volcanic peaks, and sunny beaches. They can check out top outings here such as Wild South and Old Lava Flows and Piton de la Fournaise Volcano. The cruise arrives at Pointe Des Galets at 8 am and departs at 6 pm.

It’s the last day of the Azamara’s Africa Cruise: Cape Town, Durban, & Port Louis and we arrive in the anchor port of Port Louis, Mauritius on day fifteen. Guests will get a two-night stay on this little ‘heaven on earth’ capital city of Mauritius. Visit Caudan Waterfront, Blue Penny Museum, and Le Pouce to appreciate the beauty of Port Louis.
