Itinerary

It’s the first day of the Ohio River Cruise and guests will look to get settled in their hotel. If having free time, they can ride into the city and catch up on ‘Belle of Louisville’ day excursion boat.

It’s the day when the guests start coming onboard the American Symphony from their hotel and are treated by a welcome reception from crew members. A cocktail session accompanied with entertainment makes it easy to know the fellow guests and know about adventure coming up.

We reach the first port of the cruise; Madison in Indiana is a quaint town which has the 19th century architecture with few buildings showcasing the exquisite Greek, Victorian, and Federal styles. The vibrant down-town of Madison has great boutique shops, art galleries, and chic restaurants.

It’s day four and we will reach Cincinnati in Ohio which was earlier a shipbuilding metropolis. Known as Queen City, guests here will love its zoo, the botanical garden, and plenty of museums to keep you entertained.

It’s day five and dedicated to complete day of cruising as the cruise vessel goes past the greenery along the banks and plenty of towns can be seen from the deck. Guests can take part in the lively discussions and historical presentations taken by special guest speakers.

It’s the city that’s placed on the confluence of the mighty Ohio and Muskingum Rivers; Marietta has five National Register Historic Districts. Guests should visit the Harmar Hermitage Walking Experience that has a guided exploration tour of Fort Harmar and Henry Fearing House.

It’s day seven and guests will find themselves cruising through the middle of Appalachian foothills encircled with lush landscapes and picturesque towns. We get closer to the town of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania nestled between the Allegheny and Monongahela rivers.

It’s the penultimate day and our American Symphony docks over where Allegheny and Monongahela rivers unite to form the Ohio River. Relish the locally guided experience of the Steel city and explore the city’s unique neighbourhoods & Mount Washington.

It’s the day when you say goodbye to American Symphony, and after having breakfast at the onboard restaurant, the guests disembark from the ship. As they prepare for their onward journey, all of them will surely reflect on the unique experiences made on the Ohio River Cruise.
