Itinerary

It’s the day to start the Great Heartland Cruise and none better than exploring the twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul in Minnesota. The Mounds Park having great views of down-town St. Paul and Minnehaha Falls are simply spectacular to start cruising. Guests will stay at a premium hotel which is close to the major attractions of St. Paul.

All the guests step aboard the American Serenade today and the journey begins for the Great Heartland Cruise. The guests enjoy a Welcome Aboard Reception with cocktails and great entertainment. They meet the crew members, onboard experts, & fellow guests and session for what lies ahead begins.

It’s the first port of the Great Heartland Cruise and Riverside Park is the core of the city having well maintained gardens & thought-provoking sculptures. Guests can reach the Grand Dad’s Bluff for viewing the amazing panoramic views of the landscapes.

One of the earliest settlements of US, Dubuque in Iowa has fascinating history and guests can ride in Fenelon Place Elevator which is world’s shortest and steepest scenic railway. You can also visit the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium for pleasing insight into ecological and cultural significance of the river

It’s day five, guests reach Davenport on Iowa and stroll through the Quad City Botanical Center, where they can view a unique plant collection. Check out the Putnam Museum to explore the interactive exhibits and end an eventful day in the down-town restaurants & charming shops.

The Great Heartland Cruise continues on its sixth day and guests are entertained with a variety of activities scheduled on board. We’ve special guest speakers who offer great speeches on destination related regions and Ports of Call.

Hannibal in Missouri is renowned as ‘America’s Hometown’ and guests get treated with the era of Mark Twain. The stories of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn float around this small township and down-town is a hub of creativity with shops showcasing local flair.

The Great Heartland Cruise on its eight day moves its journey from the city of Hannibal to St. Louis in Missouri. The expansive landscapes encircling the Mississippi River coupled with performances from talented musicians make the cruise come alive.

It’s day nine and you’ll be welcomed by the city popularly known as the ‘Gateway to the West’. St. Louis welcomes with its iconic skyline, crowned by the symbolic Gateway arch. Guests can explore plenty of sightseeing such as St. Louis Art Museum, Science Center and Missouri History Museum.

Welcome to Memphis in Tennessee, a city characterized by grand oak trees, expansive parks, and historic sites. Guests have a wide variety of attractions to choose from such as Memphis Loop, The Graceland Experience, and visiting the iconic Beale Street.

It’s day eleven and the city of Tunica in Minnesota has preserved the buildings as they’re in the 20th century. Visit the Gateway to the Blues Museum and Tunica RiverWalk to relish the awe-inspiring beauty of the Mississippi River. Check out the Mississippi River Museum which showcases the history, nature, and culture of the region through interactive exhibits.

On day twelve, we cruise towards the city of Vicksburg in Minnesota and pass by the awe-striking Mississippi Delta. Guests can enjoy the scenery from their deck and participate in art classes and cooking demonstrations done by talented crew members & artists on board.

We reach the port of Vicksburg in Minnesota popularly known as the ‘The Gibraltar of the West’ and the Vicksburg National Military Park preserves its historic battleground till now. Guests can take up the Vicksburg Local Loop having plenty of sightseeing including local museums and famous Tully’s Cave.

The Great Heartland Cruise reaches the city of Natchez in Minnesota today and guests can visit the Historic Natchez Bluffs & Gazebo and later check out Main Street & Franklin Street. They can also tour the grand town-homes and visit a working cotton farm to learn crop’s role in the history and today.

It’s the penultimate day of the Great Heartland Cruise and the American Serenade will reach Baton Rouge today. Guests can discover the Louisiana’s state capital by visiting the famous down-town districts having flourishing art, architecture, and natural beauty.

It’s the final day of the Great Heartland Cruise and guests will disembark at the port of New Orleans after fifteen days of cruising along the historic Mississippi River. Guests can visit the famous French Quarter and the Homes of former Kings and Queens of Mardi Gras Stately mansions before reaching the airport.
